Girls On The Run Marin County
* Will offer Girls on the Run programs throughout Marin County ­ first program offered Sept. 2003
* Focusing on public and private schools as well as recreational departments throughout the County
* Sponsors will have high visibility through GOTR Marin County mailings, registration materials, press releases, local races and website ­ publicity to begin late Feb. 2003
* GOTR Marin County promotional targeted recipients include the parents of girls ages 8 to 14 as well as the girls themselves
 

Girls On The Run, National Organization
* Founded in 1996 by four-time Ironman Triathlete Molly Barker 
* Currently operating in 25 states with over 20,000 participants in 2001
* Growth rate per year: 300%
* Recognized on NBC News and in Runner's World, Running Times, Cooking Light, Walking Magazine, Parent Magazine, American Girl Magazine, Healthy Kids Magazine, and Daughter's Newsletter
* Molly Barker recently awarded "One of America's Most Inspiration Women" by Runner's World Publication
